The induction ceremony organized by the FCT chapter took place on the 11th of February, 2023.

It is one out of many important ceremonial events conducted by the Nigerian Environmental Society. The event is majorly carried out to welcome and induct newly registered members into the society.

Furthermore, the National President and National Secretary in performing their first duties were at the FCT chapter induction ceremony of eighty-nine newly admitted members. The society in her induction, takes out time to explain what the society is all about, the objectives, aims, tenets of the society and what is expected of new members, as well as professional practices.

In addition, the national president charged the newly inducted members to present themselves as core professionals in their various fields. In addition, he also encouraged those who have interest in environmental management to participate in the monthly meetings of their chapters and look at many ways, in which they can help to improve the society and their immediate environment.

For new members to be admitted into the society, the society’s national president took all inductees through in taking their oat of membership, this was a very unique ceremony that is done by most of the chapters of the Nigerian Environmental Society. The newly inducted members were excited as the National Chairman issued them their certificate of induction. In attendance to this ceremony were cooperate bodies and organizations.

Also, the keynote speaker of the occasion, Dr. Jesse Nor was inducted as a new member. He laid more emphasis on the environment and entrepreneurship, issues on investment, and on private-public partnership as well as issues on climate change, carbon credit, mentorship, small-medium entrepreneurship loans, were discussed during the induction ceremony.
