a. To advance practical knowledge in environmental technology design, construction operation maintenance and management control systems for facilities.
b. To increase the understanding of the nature and function of the earth’s natural ecosystem, encourage and promote actions necessary to promote and enhance their conservation.
c. To implement the objectives stated herein through the support and encouragement of both new and existing organisations throughout the world incorporating members of all professions involved in environmental quality improvements.
d. To stimulate public awareness of environmental quality controls to the general public and establish the need for preservation, conservation and re-use of natural resources.
Think, Act and Sustain the Environment
The Board of Trustees is the highest oversight body of the society and acts in an advisory capacity to the society.
The National Executive Council (NEC) provides policy direction for all the activities of the society.
The society holds NEC meetings every quarter with all chapter chairmen in attendance and the National President as chairman of such meetings. Current council members are elected by NES members with the inclusion of ex-officio members and councillors. This ensures inclusiveness and members interests considered in all decision making process.
